Administration
Administration consists of a team that provides support for the Mayor and City Council, City Administrator, all city departments, and ultimately for the general public. Staff is often the first point of contact regarding City issues and is happy to assist customers in obtaining information and scheduling appointments.
City Administrator
The City Administrator is responsible for administration of the City including implementation of City Council policies and goals, supervision over program directors and employees, contract and lease management, preparation of the budget and general manager of City operations. The City Administrator also coordinates efforts of each department to fulfill City Council goals while developing and maintaining an effective management team to carry out performance areas of the City and policies set by the governing body.
Human Resources/Administrative Director
Human Resources & Risk Management are also a part of the Administration department, providing a wide range of services and support to City Departments in the areas of recruitment, employer/employee relations, employee benefits, classification and compensation, property casualty, safety, and workers compensation. The Administrative Director also serves as an assistant to the City Administrator and oversees the City Recorder's office.
City Recorder/Elections Officer
The City Recorder processes the agendas, packets and minutes for MRC and City Council meetings, serves as the City's Elections Officer, and preserves, maintains, and indexes official City records and documents including contracts, agreements, resolutions, ordinances, and orders in compliance with Federal, State and Local laws.
The Elections Officer is responsible for managing all the election materials for the City including candidate elections and bonds/measures.
