The Public Works Department stands as the backbone of Madras, ensuring our city reflects beauty, functionality, and safety. Our mission is to plan, design, construct, operate, maintain, and improve the City's utility, transportation, and park systems. 

Purpose

We are entrusted with the public's faith to provide City services with professionalism, integrity, and fairness, and to take the initiative to respond to our citizens' needs. We take pride in our work and continue to look for opportunities to bring resources into our community to build, improve, and better Madras public infrastructure.
