City to Unveil Findings of 2018 Citizen Input Survey
The City of Madras will unveil the findings of its 2018 Citizen Input Survey at their regularly scheduled City Council meeting on April 10, 2018 at 7:00 pm.
Earlier this year, the survey was mailed to over 4,600 mailboxes in the 97741 zip code and made available online. “We’re very pleased with the amount of response we received,” stated Sara Puddy, Administrative Manager for the City who helped administer the survey. “We received nearly 1,000 surveys back before the deadline.”
“The survey consisted of 37 questions and was geared toward discovering what the perceptions of people were, how they felt about life overall in Madras, what things they’d like to see changed, and how’d they’d like to see them change,” stated Lysa Vattimo, Communications Specialist for the City who also helped administer the survey.
“As community members, we all have a chance to make a positive impact on our community - from running a local business or serving in office - to attending events and supporting our local businesses as much as possible,” stated Mayor Royce Embanks. “We hope this survey not only helped us glean information from our community, but encouraged them to be involved.”
The City encourages leaders of community groups, business owners, and anyone who is interested in bringing proactive change to Madras to attend the presentation to gain insight and strategies for improvement to the community.
The survey presentation will be available on the City’s website after the Council meeting on April 10th.
