Human Resources
Welcome to the City of Madras Human Resources Department!
The City of Madras recognizes its employees as our greatest asset and strives to maintain a safe, respectful and professional workplace. We are committed to developing a team that is diverse and representative of the community we serve, as well as maintaining an expert team in the services we provide our citizens.
Many employees have spent more than 20 years building careers with the City, while others are just beginning their careers in public service. In both cases - and all in between - the organization thrives and prides itself on working in a team environment, building and supporting each others' strengths, and welcoming each individual's unique backgrounds, cultures and experiences for the richness they bring to the agency.
The Human Resources Director serves and supports City staff so they can serve the citizens of Madras. Functions include:
- Agency insurance benefits and wellness programs
- Agency training programs
- Organizational recruitment and retention efforts
- Employee professional development
- Agency policies and procedures
- Employee performance evaluations and other performance-related topics
- Risk management, employee safety and workers' compensation claims
- Open Enrollment (annually in October)
- Safety Incentive Program
Please never hesitate to contact the HR Director, if you have any questions about the City, our programs or our career development. You may reach us at 541-325-0312
