2023 Housing Needs Survey

The City of Madras is required to have a 20 year supply of residential land to meet the communities’ housing needs. To do this the City is required to prepare a Housing Needs Analysis which is a formal study that helps define the community’s housing needs through analyzing US Census data, land use and building permit data, and other data sources. The City recognizes that there are limitations to the data sources to accurately capture current and future housing needs. For this reason, the City would like to survey residents to learn more about our housing needs. To do that the City has set up an online Open House that allows residents to quickly learn about the project and then answer a few questions to identify residents perspectives on the needed housing for the community. The Online Open Housing and survey should take residents 10-15 minutes. Thank you for sharing your perspectives so that the City of Madras can better respond to our local housing needs.
