Madras Urban Renewal District

Many of Downtown Madras’ buildings have excellent potential for restoration and creative re-uses. Some are older and may be in need of renovation and repair. With an eye towards enhancing the vibrancy of our downtown commercial core, the Madras Redevelopment Commission has developed programs to assist in the renovation, preservation, and rehabilitation of commercial properties. These grants and loans are designed to be used to upgrade the physical characteristics of the City and improve the value of buildings by reinvigorating the character of Downtown Madras.
