WASTEWATER SYSTEM AND MASTER PLAN

EXISTING WASTEWATER FACILITIES

Two Collection Systems:

• Main (most of City)
• Industrial Park (North Area)

Five Sewage Pump Stations:

• B Street (Large)
• N & S (large)
• Demers (serves Industrial Park)
• Golf Course (small)
• South 97 (small)

Two Wastewater Treatment Plants: 

• North (near airport) - Lagoon system constructed in mid1970s; plant upgraded twice in 1990s
• South (at J St. & Grizzly) - Mechanical system; built in 2001; designed for 2 expansions - 1st completed in 2008 for Deer Ridge Correctional (prison)

INVENTORY & CONDITION ASSESSMENTS

Sewers – Condition adequate; original lines near end of projected service life in 20 years; should institute cleaning/inspection program
Pump Stations – Age and Condition are issues at Demers & Golf Course.  Age a consideration for B Street North.
North Wastewater Treatment Plant – Age an issue for many components
South Wastewater Treatment Plant – Plant generally in adequate to good condition
