Roles & Responsibilities

The Street Department is primarily responsible for all City of Madras Street maintenance. Major components include (but not limited to):

• Street sweeping
• Street sign repair & replacement
• Pothole repair & patching
• Crack sealing
• Paved trail maintenance & crack sealing
• Special event traffic control
• Weed spraying between sidewalks, curb & roadway
• Alleyway maintenance

Transportation Utility Formation

In December 2014, the City of Madras (City) contracted with Financial Consulting Solutions Group, Inc. (FCS GROUP) to evaluate funding needs and new options for cost recovery related to the City’s transportation system needs.
