Police Department: Reserve Officers
The Madras PD Reserve Officer Program is Currently On Hold....
You Invest in Your Community...We'll Invest in You.
Madras Police Department is seeking dedicated and committed people who are interested in serving the Madras community as reserve officers. Reserve officers are sworn law enforcement officers - some are retirees, others work and volunteer around their work schedule. Reserve officers attend the reserve police academy, receive continuous training, and are partnered with experienced full-time officers as part of their training. We recognize the value that our reserve officers give each year to our community, and that's why we provide all their gear, training, uniforms, transportation to the academy, and so much more. You invest in your community, we invest in you.
Reserve officers provide both the police department and the community with additional resources, and are comprised of a carefully selected group of community service oriented citizens who are departmentally trained to legally and competently perform police functions on an as-needed basis. Reserve officers may also be used to assist with community events, crime scene control, investigations, records, and/or special assignments. Madras is a small, but growing community with a diverse culture where law enforcement officers enjoy establishing relationships with the citizens through community interaction, school events, and other activities. When you join Madras Police Department, you join a family.
If you already know you want to become a reserve officer with our department, please complete the application below and email it to: info@madraspd.us
If you're curious whether being a reserve officer is a good fit for you or not, try doing a ride-along with one of our officers by emailing: info@madraspd.us
