Request a Police Record

Oregon State Law allows some records and information to be withheld and prohibits others from being released. Each request is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If some or all of the requested records are exempt under public records law, portions of the record may be redacted.

Requests may be subject to fees in accordance with the City of Madras' current Fee Schedule

  • Simple requests that include case numbers and accurate information, typically run $10 if the report can be provided to you electronically (additional costs are incurred for paper copies).
  • Costs increase in accordance with the fee schedule if staff is required to do extensive research, provide photos, do redactions, etc.
  • Once you submit your request, you will be notified whether your request is approved and what the fee will be. You will be provided with information on how to pay the fee at that time.
  • If your request is denied, there is no fee.
  • Records will not be provided until fee is paid in full.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this form or your request, you may contact the Madras Police Department at 541-475-2424.
