SUSPECT IN EARLIER SWAT RESPONSE TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CALL ARRESTED BY MADRAS POLICE

On September 6, 2023, Madras Police officers were dispatched to a domestic violence call on Murray Street in south Madras. Due to the known criminal history of the suspect, a multi-agency response team, along with SWAT, was called to assist. Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate the suspect. A warrant was issued for his arrest and officers continued to search for him.

On September 11, 2023, Madras Police were dispatched to an assault with a male stabbing victim who was later found at St. Charles in Madras. The victim in the assault turned out to be the suspect in the September 6th domestic violence call. The suspect/assault victim, 34 year-old Davis Stwyer, Jr, was transported to St. Charles in Bend and arrested upon his release by Madras Police on September 12th at approximately 4:30 pm. Mr. Stwyer, Jr. is charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon; Menacing; Strangulation; Attempted Assault II; and an outstanding Felony warrant. He is scheduled to appear in the Jefferson County Circuit Court on September 13, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.
